I’m an owner-operator fully equipped as a solo operator with a production kit comprising of cinema cameras, lenses, monitoring, lighting and audio, as well as live streaming switchers, mixers and controllers for any size production.

About me

How it all began

Blake Castle as a young child filming himself waving in the mirror using an old Mini DV tape camcorder.

Ever since I discovered my parent’s video camera as a kid, I knew that I’d found an obsession that would last a lifetime.

What started as filming skateboarding videos with friends (and taping over precious family videos in the process), led me to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Television Production at Charles Sturt University. Working full time for a number of studios as a cinematographer eventually to where I am today – launching my own business in 2018 as a full-time freelance DOP.

For over 13 years I’ve been lucky enough to work around the world, shooting promotional videos, corporate videos and documentaries featured on Netflix, Animal Planet and in cinemas. Loving all things tech, I’ve expanded my skills and equipment to capture live streams for corporate events and town halls, live podcasts, performances, webinars and everything in between.
